Island Communities
Located in Indian River Shores, Baytree is a gated island community with oceanside courtyard villas, condominiums and patio homes residing east and west of A1A. Amenities include: private beach access, a clubhouse, tennis courts, and three community pools. Built by The Schaub Corporation, development began in the 1980’s, and continued through the early 2000’s.
Bermuda Bay
Bermuda Bay, located in Indian River Shores, is a gated community that offers courtyard villas and single family homes. Amenities include: a heated pool, tennis courts, and private beach access.
Bermuda Club is a gated West Indies styled community that offers single family homes in four villages. Amenities include: A Clubhouse with a social room, fitness center, and a large pool.
Beachwalk, built by Proctor Construction in 2001, is a three story condominium complex consisting of 45 residences. Featuring larger condos, units are all 3 bedrooms and range from 1800 to 2165 sq ft. Located in the South Beach neighborhood, the beach and restaurants are a quick stroll away. Covered, gated parking is located on the first floor. Amenities include: A clubhouse, tennis courts, and a pool.
Castaway Cove, located just south of the 17th Street Bridge, consists of 6 “waves” of communities. Waves I, III, and VI are oceanside and Waves II, IV and V riverside. Each community “wave” includes about 100 homes. Construction started in the 1970’s and there are still a few available lots today. Homes vary in size and age. It’s known for being a great spot for families with children on the island.
Caledon Shores is an oceanfront condominium complex that is conveniently located close to restaurants and shops. The building was fully renovated in 2005. Amenities include: clubroom, exercise facilities, oceanfront heated pool, under-building parking.
Carlton is a luxury, oceanfront, gated community with large condominiums and private villa residences that are over 4,000 sq ft in size. Amenities include: a community clubhouse, with a clubroom, spa, fitness center, tennis courts and resort style pool, and a riverfront community dock.
Central Beach, just as the name suggests, is the neighborhood that constitutes the center part of the island located between the two bridges. With quiet streets named after local trees and flora, homes here are mostly within walking distance to downtown Ocean Drive, Riverside Park, Riverside Theatre, and the Vero Beach Art Museum. Mostly single-family homes, there are a limited number of low-rise condominiums.
Coralstone is located on the west side of Highway A1A across from the Disney Resort. It’s a gated community with attached villas and town homes. Amenities include deeded beach access, a clubhouse with a large heated pool, and tennis courts.
The Gables
The Gables are twin, oceanfront, 5 story condominium buildings that are centrally located on Ocean Drive. With a parking garage on the first floor, levels 2 through 4 are 2 and 3 bedroom units. Level 5 has 3 penthouse units ranging from 1100 to 1600 sq ft. Amenities include: A clubroom, exercise room, oceanfront patio and a large community pool.
Constructed in the mid-1980’s, Indian Trails, was designed with winding roads that gracefully curve around established oak trees, creating an historic and jungle-like feel. Exclusively single family homes, some surround the central small lake and a few homes are located directly on the Indian River Intra-coastal Waterway. Amenities include: a clubhouse with a pool, tennis courts, catering kitchen, and fitness room, community riverfront marina with private docks and a large oceanfront gazebo.
Island Club was built primarily by Beazer Homes with a Mediterranean design style. Island Club is located west of Hwy A1A and does include deeded beach access with home ownership. A gated community, amenities include: 2 clubhouses, 2 pools, tennis courts, and a riverfront community day dock.
John’s Island, located in Indian River Shores, is one of most prestigious gated communities in the Vero Beach area. It features 1650 acres, a full golf course, an elegant clubhouse, a large beach front clubhouse, with formal and informal dining, gym and spa facilities, a heated pool with cabanas, and deep water dock. Homes consist of privately-owned guest apartments, condominiums, villas, and oceanfront single family homes.
Marbrisa is an ocean-to-river community with oceanfront townhomes and courtyard villa homes. Amenities include: two clubhouses, one on each side of A1A, two pools (one oceanfront), tennis courts, and mostly privately-owned boat dockage.
Marsh Island
Marsh Island is a small enclave of waterfront estate properties. Surrounded by the Intra-coastal Waterway, it’s a fabulous location for boaters, as homes have private docks. Rebuilt to meet current building standards and increase the elevation.
The Moorings is located south on the barrier island in Vero Beach. It was designed with multiple wide canals fronted by seawalls to achieve maximum numbers of single-family home and condominium waterfront properties with deep water docks. The community is ocean to river and has condos, town homes, villas, and single-family homes. Amenities include: a full-service marina, golf tennis, a country club with dining, fitness center, large heated pool, tennis courts, and a Pete Dye-designed executive golf course.
Old Orchid has about 135 homes that circle a small lake. Amenities include: tennis court, cabana and pool and public beach access. Five builder villa models range from 1713 sqft to 2582 sqft.
Orchid Cove is located on the Vero Beach Intra-coastal Waterway Lagoon side of island near the Wabasso Bridge, Orchid Cove features 60 homes on 24 acres. Homes are constructed by two local builders.
Orchid Island Golf and Beach Club is a luxury island community with Caribbean influenced homes that features an Arnold Palmer designed 18 hole golf course. Amenities include: two private full-amenity clubhouse facilities, one on the golf course, and the other oceanfront. Both offer casual and fine dining. Homes vary from condos, to cottages to grand estate homes.
Palm Island Plantation is an elegant, gated, luxury community with recently constructed condos and single family homes.
Park Shores
Park Shores is some of the most affordable real estate on the barrier island in Vero Beach. Condominiums and attached villa homes available in a park-like setting.
Riomar is located mid-island and offers some of the most desirable real estate in Vero Beach. A fantastic location with mostly estate properties, residents can walk to downtown Ocean Drive and Riverside Park. Quail Valley Country Club is located within Riomar and is one of the most popular clubs in the area.
River Club
River Club is a gated island community, that offers a variety of homes including condos, villas, and single family homes many of which are riverfront. Amenities include: two clubhouses (river and beach), community tennis, pools, and public beach access.
Sandpointe is a gated community of single family homes located south on the island. Community beach access is available.
Sea Colony is located on the north end of the island and offers single family homes and luxury condominiums. Amenities include: beach front clubhouse with a fitness center, tennis, and heated pool.
Seaforest is small, gated, oceanfront community of 24 villas and courtyard villas. Located in the Indian River Shores community, residents enjoy community beach access.
Sea Oaks is an ocean-to-river community with around 600 homes ranging from cozy tennis cottages, oceanfront or riverfront condominiums, and villas or larger single family homes. Amenities include: 16 Har-Tru tennis courts with on-site pros, a 48 slip marina, 2 newly renovated clubhouses with informal and formal dining rooms, 10 private community pools, fitness center, and a mile of private deeded beach access.
Seagrove is actually two separate communities – Seagrove Oceanside, with private deeded beach access, and Seagrove West - Riverside, which has tennis courts and a privately-owned and community boat dock facilities on the Indian River Intra-coastal Waterway.
Seasons at Orchid features West Indies style homes with the fine architectural design and upscale features. Homes range from over 2400 to over 2900 sqft. and many enjoy lakefront or estuary preserve views. Amenities include: a clubhouse complex with a large heated pool and spa, a grand room, community room, fitness center, card room, 2 kitchens, and men’s and women’s locker rooms.
Somerset Bay Condominium
Somerset Bay Condominiums are located on the Intra-coastal within the gated Bermuda Club community. Amenities include a separate clubhouse and pool.
Village Spires
Village Spires is located centrally on the island and is the only condominium with more than 5 stories. Originally built in the 1970’s, the 12-story twin towers were completely renovated after 2004. Units are one or two bedrooms and feature ocean, and/or, town views. Amenities include: an oceanfront clubroom and pool.
Windsor, with its European influenced design, is one of the most exclusive communities on Vero’s barrier island. Condominiums carriage-style courtyard town homes, and estate homes are available. Amenities include: equestrian facilities with stalls, paddocks, and dressage rings, shooting range, a Robert Trent Jones, Jr. well-designed golf course, regulation croquet, Har-Tru-Tru tennis courts designed by Wimbledon champion Stan Smith, Clubhouse, and a village market for convenient on-site shopping.
